I am finally getting the results I wanted

transformation stories Dec 10, 2015

Meet Chuck!!

Where did you come from? Your starting fitness and nutrition level?
Before Tall Trainer I thought I was in really good shape. I work from home so during my lunch break I would run 3+ miles or exercise on my Bowflex machine. I thought I was working hard but never saw the changes I expected from my workouts.  My wife is a member at TT so she used Vitabot and kept a lot of healthy food in the house but somehow I most often chose chips instead of the fruit or vegetables. I assumed my workouts would make up for ANYTHING I ate and again, wondered why I didn’t lose weight and didn’t see any results.
What inspired you to start?
My start at Tall Trainer was based totally on being frugal! There was a contest a few months ago where current members would win free months of workouts if they brought in the most new members. I was hoping if I enrolled for one month my wife would win 3-months free. She did win 1-month, but I was the big winner! After surviving my first week, I was hooked. In that first month I very quickly began achieving the results I had always wanted and began to understand the difference between exercising and training. I had never been the type to join group workouts before, thought I could push and motivate myself to get the results I wanted but never never saw. My wife talked our friends into joining that month also and we had our own mini Thinner-to-Winner contest, men-against-women, so we had a great time all month trying to outdo each other (the women won).
What have some of your results been, some of your favorite new abilities?
This could turn into a long list… I am finally getting the results I always wanted trying to exercise by myself. During our last iteration of a monthly fitness test I completed 65 push-ups in a minute! Had you asked that a few months ago I would have said it was totally impossible for ANYONE to accomplish. When I started I had trouble doing one pull-up, now I am approaching 20. I make better choices when eating and feel so much better for it. I am having to replace my wardrobe since everything is too big now. I have learned that I can always use more motivation and that little extra push from my trainers and from my workout group (shout out to the 5:30pm class!)
