I've been fortunate to have many mentors in my life. From my dad to my brother, my counselor to my pastor, I am blessed to have people that can speak into my life and tell me what I need to hear. Pictured is one of my professional mentors, Todd Durkin.
Years ago I used to avoid this type of relationship. I feared change and I didn't want to hear from anyone about how I could do things better. It's no wonder that I languished in a job I hated and tried to numb my feelings of anxiety and worry by any means necessary.
All it took was one person at the right time pushing me into a positive direction that got me to change my life for the better.
I chose to jump in. I got to a point where I knew I had to go all in. The lifestyle I had was not taking me where I wanted to go. So I changed cities, moved in with my parents, and took a minimum wage job doing something that I loved. And then I spent time and money investing in myself to grow and change.
I now no longer make minimum wage (thankfully!) and we've sacrificed and structured our life in such a way that my wife has the option of staying home or working. She has chosen to stay home with our daughter Rosabelle. I have a job and career I love. I met the woman of my dreams and started a family. I am involved in my church community and am blessed to have many people that I call friend.
All of this came about because I was willing to make important changes in my life and I sought out people that could help me get to a better spot.
At a Mastermind retreat in 2018 I got together with over 100 fired up people that were looking to change the world through health and fitness. We sweated together, broke bread together, and poured our hearts out over that weekend. We came out collectively energized. And more importantly we emerged with more clarity on what we had to do next.
I had to write a book. So I did it.
Now I have to help others through the same type of refining process that I have been through.
I have to help others get healthy, mind, body, heart, and soul.
I've focused a lot on the body portion for much of my career. I'm a Personal Trainer after all! But I found that too often, it was an element of the heart, a lack of purpose, or trouble finding the right way to frame things that often tripped people up and prevented them from living their best lives.
I want you to live your best life. I know there is greatness caged up inside you, just waiting to be unleashed.
I want to help you create the best version of yourself so that you can support your family, coworkers, and community like never before, without feeling burnt out.
I want you to feel empowered when you wake up in the morning, knowing that you are using your gifts and talents to make an impact on the world.
I want you to look in the mirror and wonder how you got to be so blessed.
I've already got one Coaching Group jam packed, but I want to help more people.
We're working on issues like:
And much more!
