I will start on Monday....

transformation stories Jul 07, 2016

Where did you come from?  - I have always struggled with my weight but was never able to stick with something long enough to be able to see any life changing results. When I first started at Tall Trainer I was eating horribly and not exercising at all. I have an office/desk job so it didn't help that I sit all day at work but then get home from work and eat dinner and then sit on the couch all evening. I had reached the highest weight I had ever been and felt like I was being pushed into a corner and didn't know where to go. I would always tell myself "starting on Monday, I will start a diet and start working out". It sounded like a good idea in my head but typically it never happened once Monday rolled around. If by chance, it did start, I would only last a short few days. Anytime that I would lose weight, I would quickly gain it all back plus some. I knew what I had to do in order to keep the weight off but I did not have the will power to do this.

What inspired you to start? - As I previously mentioned, I had reached my highest weight and I hated how I looked and was mad at myself for allowing myself to get to this point. I have three young nieces and I hated not being able to run around and keep up with them. So, I think my biggest inspiration was getting my health and weight under control so that I could enjoy being active with my nieces. I was also tired of not fitting into any of my clothes and I refused to continue to have to buy the "next" size up and it was extremely frustrating going to the stores and having to reach to the back of the clothes rack only to not find my size in anything. I hated always feeling tired and not having any energy to do anything at all. I wanted to feel better about myself and I wanted to be healthy. There were many people that inspired me to want to start this journey. MY aunt Patty and my friend Chrissy were part of Tall Trainer and they were seeing great results and I wanted to be part of this and experience those same types of results. I was also inspired by my Mom and my sister as they are very active in running and many other fitness activities but I was not able to do any of this with them as I was very overweight and had no energy to do these types of activities. After going to "Bring a friend Day" , I knew that this was something I had to do. I am so happy that I took this jump and started this journey!!

What have some of your results been, some of your favorite new abilities? As a result, I have lost almost 90 pounds and several inches off my waist and hips in 11 months. I have also reduced my % body fat by over 10%. I have adapted to better eating habits and I am more conscious of what I am putting into my mouth. Not that I always make the best choices 100% of the time but I am now conscious as to what I am eating and knowing that if I eat something I shouldn’t I am going to have to do a double work out. I now actually enjoy exercising and pushing myself to do things that I never thought I would be able to do. My fitness level has drastically increased since I started my fitness journey and I love that feeling. I have gained an interest in weight lifting and enjoy being able to push myself to lift heavier weights each time. I now have more energy every day and am able to enjoy life. A year ago, I would have never ever said this, but I can now say that I think I am "addicted to working out" as I look forward to seeing results everyday whether it is losing weight or increasing my fitness level and pushing myself to a new level everyday. I still have work to do to get where I want to be but I can say that I am very happy with my results this far!

I could not have done any of this without my support system. The trainers at Tall Trainer have helped achieve many of my goals by giving me advice and challenging my abilities each and everyday to improve my fitness level. Andrew has been amazing in helping me get to where I am now! He is always right there making me increase my weights and I appreciate that. Also, this would not have been possible without the help my workout buddies both at tall trainer and outside of tall trainer who have encouraged me and pushed me everyday.
