I was stuck in a state of being OK..

Yanira's Transformation:

Before I start telling my health journey, let me said Tall Trainer has been a blessing not only for me but also for my family. When I started boot camp I was in a place where I think a lot of moms out there can relate. I am a stay at home mom, who is all the time with my kids. I felt selfish doing anything for me, if I did not include them. I was overtired, unfocused, exhausted, I used to eat anything at any time; I did not feel enough for myself. I was in a state of being ok, that was enough for me. I used to think that I did not have time to do anything for me. My responsibility as a mom was my excuse to think that I did not have time to exercise or time to take care of myself.

One day something shifted in me. The possibility of being better, the possibility of a change. It was not about me anymore, it was about being a better mom, engage in my kid’s games, play with them, and enjoy them, being not a good but a great role model for them.

It was hard to take the decision to start doing something. I remember talking with my husband about what if is too hard, what if I can’t keep up, what if I do not like it... and the list goes on and on. Every excuse that I made it was just fear to change, fear to failure, fear to the unknown. However, my fear to let down my husband and kids was more than my fear to be ok. So, I chose to take the leap.

Once I started the boot camp at Tall Trainer, it was a life change for me. In just a second of my first day, I remember the feeling of being at ease. Everybody was so welcoming, they encouraged me to be better and do better. They guided me through every exercise and gave me a modified exercise if the first one was too difficult for me. It has been a learning experience. Some days were successful days but there were other days that the struggle was real. That is why I love the boot camp at Tall Trainer; they know how to help you through days like these and encouraged you to do your best even if you do not feel like it. My words cannot describe how thankful I am to the trainers Andrew, Jeremy and Lynn. Their support, guidance and words of encouragement gave me not only the gift of being healthy, but having my confidence back and the conviction that everything its possible in this life.

I am glad I decided to start this journey. It was a day-by-day process of change. I have been adding one small change and one small goal at a time. Some of my changes were swap an unhealthy meal that I really love to eat for a healthy version, and also challenged myself during boot camp to see if I can do more repetitions or maybe increase the weights up during resistance training. Any change that I chose, I knew it was one step closer to get any small goal that I wanted to achieve.

During this journey I did not change, I try my best to become a better version of myself. Now, I take some time for me during the day, I changed my nutrition and I want to help others to do better. It makes me happy to include my husband and my kids in this life-changing journey. I remember, before Tall Trainer getting out of the house to do any outdoor activity was painful; I did not have the mental or physical energy. Now, I have the energy and I really enjoy getting out of the house and walk with my kids and husband. I see it, as an opportunity. An opportunity to play with my kids, share memories with my husband and also move and exercise.

Since day one I was determined to change my lifestyle. I did not know how but with the guidance of the trainers and my family support I can say that I have accomplished more than I expected to. Some of my new habits are exercise in the morning, eat every 3 to 4 hours, eat lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats, fish, nuts, healthy grains and drink lots of water throughout the day. I have been using the Vitabot program since I started. This program was an essential key to succeed losing weight. Now, I see food to fuel not to indulge and if I am with my husband and kids, I see food to share. Share that we have each other, share that we are present because we are healthy and because we take care of ourselves. God give us this body to move, to dance, to eat; not to sit, to overeat and do nothing. So, I hope my journey inspire someone, the same as I was inspire with the beautiful family of Tall Trainer. They know how to help you in your fitness, nutrition and mindset.
