When I started my fitness level was non-existent. I never worked out and rarely even walked longer distances. It was hard to do just about everything, and I got winded so easily that I often opted to just not do activities I wanted to.
 
I have always been interested in nutrition, but never had the accountability, so rarely stayed on track with numerous diets and healthy eating plans I tried (and trust me, I tried them all).
 
I was beginning to have problems with my knees, and I would be in severe pain just after a normal day. I was missing out on doing things I wanted to do, because of my size and lack of any type of fitness. I was so concerned about my health that I was giving myself panic attacks over the possibilities of what might happen if I didn't make some changes. I was unhealthy and knew I was headed down a bad road, and was incredibly fed up with "missing out".
 
Additionally, there had been a series of events in late 2019 that made me come to the hard realization that I needed to put some serious effort into myself so that I could live the life I wanted, and that is when I found TT!
 
My neighbor, Stacie, often posted about them and I knew she was a part of this organization, so I reached out and got started, and it was, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made. The decision to invest in my health, and prioritize it was life-changing. Not only have I lost weight, developed healthy habits, and developed a new-found love for fitness, but I have created some amazing connections and a few friendships that I wouldn't trade for the world, with people who are literally "in the trenches" with me, and are lifting me up and encouraging me through it all. 
 
Now, I feel like I have established a much healthier relationship with food, and actually crave vegetables! I also absolutely enjoy working out, and feel stronger than I have ever felt in my life! In addition to going to class each morning, I try to walk 2-3 miles at night, something I NEVER would have imagined doing before coming to TT.
 
I actually turned to walking as my biggest stress reliever during the worst of the pandemic, and developing that habit helped me get through such a tough time! I go hiking every weekend, and recently bought a kayak for myself, something I never dreamed of being able to do, and actually enjoying!
 
My knees no longer hurt, even after a full day of work and walking several miles at night. This past fall I actually completed a high ropes course, which is one thing I NEVER thought I would be able to do because of my size, and I actually did, TWICE!
 
I am not yet where I want to be, but have come so far from where I was, and I can't wait to see where the "second half" of this journey takes me, and what I will be able to accomplish. 
 
Thank you guys again, for everything that TT has done. I truly don't know where I would be without it, and this experience. I love everything about it, and how judgement-free and supportive the environment is! Thank you in so many ways!
