He did the 2-weeks and we measured shoulder, hamstring, and quad flexibility. I was hoping for a measurable increase and he improved 10 degrees at each joint! That's a big change for 2-weeks!
Boy oh boy, am I excited to be offering these Body Restoration Sessions. I think these are going to be incredibly healing.
Who they are for:
- Anyone who feels tight
- Moving around is painful or difficult
- There are more aches
- They feel "their age"
More specifically:
Back Pain
Knee Pain
Plantar Fasciitis/Foot Pain
Neck and Shoulder
I think this will be helpful for all but certainly those who have recognized stiffness or joint pain particularly in the knees, back, and shoulder/neck. My dream is to have people in a bad spot do 5 days a week for a couple weeks for quick results/changes. Then shifting to a maintenance/slow improvement plan.
My Personal Realization...
Before I ruptured the disc in my lower back it felt like I needed to warm-up for 45 minutes to go full speed. My body felt like it could "twang" at any time. Like if I took off running I would pull my hamstring, calf, quad, and groin simultaneously. After my disc rupture and I learned the value of stretching I got flexible enough I felt like I could take off at any moment without worry.
It was then that I realized that...
"Age is a number and old is a feeling."
I was 22 years old and felt much older. This as well as nearly 2 decades as a personal trainer have confirmed another pithy saying.
"The more flexible you are the younger you feel"
In contrast the tighter you are the older you feel. You're body pulls on itself constantly. It doesn't have to be that way! It's possible to be able to touch your toes at 90!
And these sessions could be the jump start you need to see progress and get momentum going.
Here’s what they will include:
- Short Foam rolling time
- Calf and upper body stretches
- Trainer assisted stretches for legs and hips (this is the big benefit)
- Theragun Massage if needed
I fully anticipate people feeling incredible after this short 15 minutes.
I think a couple times a week could be helpful too, but very excited about the 2-week all in program.
Sessions are only $20 for the 15 minutes. We wanted to make this affordable because doing many is the key to results.
