10 Day Jumpstart: Day 1

Baby Steps

Congratulations on getting started! These next 10 Days are going to draw on the concepts discussed in my book Grow Your Mind, Shrink Your Waist. If you don't have a copy yet, order it here.

If you haven't read it yet, don't worry, I'll be giving plenty of details and learning opportunities in the days ahead.

In the book I talk about the three main ways to stoke the fires of the growth process. They are: Taking Action, Learning, and Knowing Why. 

Today we are going to focus on Taking Action.

I want you to get a couple of quick wins under your belt as we move forward. You have two challenges for today, are you ready?

1. Do a 5 minute workout. I've included a 5 minute workout video in this email so you can do that one if you like. This is an opportunity to prove to yourself that you are actually going to do this. It doesn't matter how busy you are, you can spare 5 minutes to get a workout in.

Why only 5 minutes? We'll talk more about this in the goal setting day on Day 3, but the quick answer is this: people that go after massive change without proper accountability usually fall flat pretty quickly. I don't want that for you. 

2. I want you to make at least one conscious healthy decision today. Either by turning down something unhealthy, or by bringing in something healthy. You have a pretty good idea of what will help get you closer to your goals and what brings you further away, so make at least one decision today that moves you closer to where you want to be.

3. There is no step 3! Unless you haven't ordered the book yet. In which case, do that!

Over the next 9 days we'll go deeper into your purpose for getting healthier, gaining momentum, goal setting, and much more! Let's rock this!
